Instrument Rating Restricted - IR(R)

What can I do with my IR(R)?

With an IR(R), you can fly a single engine aircraft in IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) in Class D, E, F and G airspace (excluding airways). You can utilise approaches such as NDB, VOR, ILS and RNAV instrument approaches where visibility is not less than 1500 meters. The IR(R) is only valid in UK airspace and the Channel Islands.
