Night Rating - Only Available during the Winter flying period.
What can I do with my night rating?
A night rating allows a pilot to fly under Visual Flight Rules in the hours of darkness.
What are the pre-course requirements?
You must hold at minimum a UK PPL (A) with a Class 2 Medical.
What is involved in the course?
Theoretical Knowledge Instruction
A FREE group night rating seminar for all students
Flight Training
3 hours of dual instruction
1 hour of solo circuits
1 hour of cross country navigation of at-least 27nm
How much does a night rating cost?
We have two affordable Night Rating Packages below. The prices are based on our Cessna 152 and include insurance, headset hire and all landing and circuit fees.

Night training is available from the 30th October until the 26th March. We aim to do all our training between 1600 and 1800 to avoid extra airport fee’s. If you would like to train after 1800 there will be an additional cost.

If you require more flight training on top of our packages this will be charged at our ‘pay-as-you-go’ dual training rate.
You are more than welcome to change aircraft during the course however the difference in price per hour will be charged.
It is the students responsibility to organise training and other course requirements.
Refunds will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. We will always endeavour to accommodate our customers where we can.
Outside of normal airfield operating hours additional charges may apply. Please ask Operations for details.
A fuel surcharge may apply.
Courses which are not completed within 12 months may be subject to further charges.
